Pro Series Camshafts

Skunk2 Pro Series Camshafts profile designs are derived from our highly successful racing efforts, and utilize the latest in cam profile technology. Unlike like our competitors, Skunk2 camshafts are designed, engineered, and tested 100% in house using state-of-the-art equipment and software.

Pro-Series camshafts feature patent pending profile designs that dramatically improve horsepower, torque, throttle response, and valvetrain stability. Pro-Series camshafts feature seamless crossovers between low-speed and high-speed cam lobes.

Skunk2 Pro-Series camshafts utilize newly designed camshaft cores that feature increased torsional strength, improved durability, and reduced friction.

The Pro1+ cam already rated by experts as "the best all around" camshaft. The Pro2+ offers significant gains over all other semi-race camshafts tested. And the Pro3+ camshaft far exceeds any full-racing camshaft on the market.

Skunk2 also offers the Pro-T1 camshaft and the Pro-T2 camshaft for turbo charged applications.

Pro Series Valve Springs

Pro Series Valve Springs are the best valve springs in the sport compact market; we believe they are the best in the world. Pro Series Valve springs are designed to handle the requirements of championship level racing. Each spring is coiled using Japanese milled super-clean chrome silicone wire. The wire is 100% eddy-current inspected before coiling. After the spring is coiled, heat treated, and shot peened; it is further enhanced with a proprietary chemical polishing and nitriding process. The end result is a valve spring that has a superior resistance to load loss even under the highest stressed conditions. The design also features a slight interference fit between the inner and outer coils to dampen the affects of spring surge.

Skunk2/HRD CNC Cylinder Heads

Skunk2/HRD CNC cylinder heads are the result of years of friendship and collaboration with renown cylinder head development specialists HRD. HRD cylinder heads have been found on the engines of numerous championship teams in Winston/Nextel Cup, Busch, Craftsmen Truck, and NHRA. Since 1998, HRD has been instrumental in the development of Skunk2 cylinder heads. A by product of that development has been winning racecars in World Challenge, Touring Cars throughout Asia, and Sport Compact Drag racing. Previously Skunk2 has never offered ported cylinder heads because of the demands required to complete them. However today, with 5-Axis machining capabilities, Skunk2/HRD is able to offer the same cylinder heads designs once only found on winning Skunk2 race engines. Each port and combustion chamber design is carefully digitized, modeled, and exactly replicated from cylinder to cylinder.

Skunk2 currently has B16A and B18C CNC heads in stock! You can send us a head as a core, or buy the head without a core exchange. Each head is carefully inspected and any worn parts are replaced. If you want us to CNC port the head that you send us, delivery time may range from 6-8 weeks because we only run the heads in batches.
